First impressions are a real thing, and while you already know fixing up the inside of your house is important before listing, equally important is the curb appeal. When buyers pull up, you need to make sure your that first impression is working in your favor.

Sodding the yard and going full on with your landscaping are obviously things you could do, but with time and budget constraints looming for most sellers, we have come up with 5 cheap, weekend DIYs for upping your curb appeal game.

1. Pressure Wash

A good cleaning will make your home sparkle. Hiring someone to pressure wash (not expensive, FYI) or doing it yourself will make things look cleaner and newer, two adjectives we know you want buyers to be thinking

2. Just Mulch It

Mulch brightens the exterior, makes shrubs seem more majestic, and just overall gives the appearance that your yard "has it together." P.S. Have you heard of xeriscaping? Drought tolerant plants are a MUST in hot Texas summers. Ask your favorite lawn specialist about what will work best in your yard, and plant a few things that don't take much water and will still look good! And while you're at it, trim those trees or call our friends at Hatchet Hounds to take care of it for you!

3. Front Porch Planters

Add a pop with symmetrical planters on either side of the door. Skip the plastic planters and opt for something heavy duty and pretty then fill it with a plant of flower you love from The Weatherford Farmer's Market - plus side, when your home sells these can come with you to your new place! And speaking of front doors...

4. Freshen the Front Door

Yes, we mean paint. If you want to switch things up with a different color or if you LOVE what you have, give that thing a fresh coat of paint. Buyers will be standing here with their agents for at least a minute looking around while they open the lock box - make the most of it! Here are some of JoJo's (Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper) picks!

5. Roll out the Welcome Mat

A new mat and maybe a wreath from The Junktion will seal the deal as buyers enter your home.
